CONCERT: "The Invisible Bee" + "Me & Steve"

 —  —

The Lost Church, 65 Capp St, San Francisco

Note: Doors open at 7:30pm

The Invisible Bee is thrilled to be returning to The Lost Church SF for another intimate evening of music and connection. This time, we're joined by old friends and fabulous musicians Jill and Steve Pierce ("Me and Steve") who will play an opening set to get the musical juices flowing. The Bee will follow with songs form our two 2019 albums, "Brokedown Palace" and "Incurable Love", plus a little meditation and engagement. We hope you'll join us for an evening of laughter, love, heart opening, truth telling and community building!

Tickets: https://thelostchurch.secure.force.com/ticket/patronticket__publicticketapp#/instances/a0F3s000005xEZtEAM (it's an intimate space, so get your tickets early!)

“The Invisible Bee” is creating a soundtrack for the Anthropocene. We are living in unprecedented times, faced with many forms of violence against humans, animals, and ecosystems. Our music speaks to the broken and the divine within us and within our world, channeling poetry, harmony and groove to open a portal to feel, face and respond to all of it. Bee music is apology, anger, truth, grief, hope, and call to action, all rolled into one -- song, salve, and spark for all who care for Mother Earth and her beings. Our wish is that this music touches the emotions inherent in these human experiences, wakes us up to the truth of our inter-being and kinship, and inspires us to act and serve from a place of love. http://www.invisiblebee.com “Me and Steve” (Jill & Steve Pierce) have been playing music together for 30 of their 45 years on this planet, from high school onward. With their band JP*Orbit, they’ve played The Red Devil Lounge, The Last Day Saloon, The Great American Music Hall, & festivals like The Soup & High Sierra, sharing a stage with members of Hot Buttered Rum, New Monsoon, and ALO. They played in a kid's band called "Orange Sherbet”, sharing the stage with Charity & the JAMband and playing The Austin City Limits Festival. There's a love story in there too. http://www.adrianlibertini.com/jp-orbit

The Invisible Bee: Album Release Concert + Jen Myzel

 —  —

The Lost Church, 65 Capp St, San Francisco

Please join us to celebrate the release of our second album at this intimate and iconic SF venue!

THE INVISIBLE BEE

The Invisible Bee is creating a soundtrack for the Anthropocene. We are living in unprecedented times, faced with many forms of violence against humans, animals, and our ecosystems. The Invisible Bee channels poetry, harmony and groove to explore love and loss, grief and hope, dharma and action. Weaving together rock, folk, meditation and penetrating vocals to conceive a sound that speaks to the broken and the divine within us and within our world, the Bee’s music opens a portal to feel, face and respond to all of it. Lead singer/songwriter Charity Kahn is a musician, mother, children’s music-and-movement teacher, and meditation teacher living in San Francisco. Daryn Roven is a recording engineer/producer, father, and guitar player. They are joined by Paul Lamb on bass and David Rokeach on drums, each of whom brings decades of incredibly funky musicIanship.

When not making music for grown-ups, The Invisible Bee shows up as the beloved SF-based rock band Charity and the JAMband, performing music-and-dance concerts and making award-winning rock albums for children and families with themes of peace, kindness, Earth care, mindfulness, joy, and celebration of all life.

JEN MYZEL

Jen Myzel's music ranges from ritualistic chants like "Gentle Heart" to her lyrical, soulful folk songs, weaving themes of ancestry, activism, Earth connection and beauty. Jen Myzel's music is introspective yet activating. It seeks to whisper universal truth and remembrance into the heart and soul of all who listen.

Jen recently published a children’s sing-a-long book, Yellow Lotus Flower, which has been praised by elder and author Joanna Macy as “a story for our times.” She is currently recording her third studio album, Birds of the Night, due to be released in December of 2019. Visit www.jenmyzel.net to learn more about her music, book, and events.
